Alterations

Reflecting the Math

Because this is the Sri Chaitanya Saraswat Ashram, and because Premasindhu Prabhu, the manager has expressed some desire, Goswami Maharaj instructs Premasindhu Prabhu and his family how to rearrange the alter and temple room to more accurately reflect those at the Sri Chaitanya Saraswat Math.

The alter is stripped down and six pictures of our guru-parampara are placed on the lower shelf, Srimati Tulasi Devi is placed on the higher shelf, and the centerpiece of the alter is a beautiful two by three foot framed picture of the deities at Nabadwip, Sri Sri Gandharva-Govindar Sundarjiu. The original picture was taken by Gaurachandra Prabhu in Nabadwip, enlarged by Srutasrava Prabhu in California, and DHL'ed here to Johannesburg to be framed by Premasindhu Prabhu.

The pictures on the wall are rearranged, the morning and evening program songs are printed, Goswami Maharaj spends his penultimate night here going through the evening program, and everything is pukka, as they say.
