"Missing" Swami Returns

All's well that ends well

Paramahamsa Maharaj (who was supposed to return from Pietermaritzburg on Monday) finally arrived here at the Sri Chaitanya Saraswat Ashram in Lenasia late this evening.

Paramahamsa Maharaj is such a charming personality; the devotees here can't get enough of him and are always scheming up different ways to maximize their time with him. The Pietermaritzburg devotees whisked him away from Durban a day early than scheduled, and kept him from Johannesburg a day longer than the time allotted to them. Those guys!

There was some concern here at the Ashram yesterday because although we knew that Paramahamsa Maharaj was supposed to fly in from Pietermaritzburg, we could not contact the Pietermaritzburg devotees to get the exact time of his arrival. It turns out that the swami flew in to Johannesburg airport late last night and was picked up by Nilamani Prabhu, and taken to Benoni to spend the night at the home of Nilamani Prabhu and his family.

But, all's well that ends well, as they say: after spending the day with the swami, Nilamani Prabhu returned Paramahamsa Maharaj safely to the Ashram at seven o' clock this evening.
