Srila Gurudeva in good health

The Russian portion of Srila Gurudeva's 20th World Tour is going very well here at the beautiful temple in Saint Petersburg. Srila Gurudeva is very pleased with all the arrangements and the many different programs that have been arranged by Sripad Avadhut Maharaj and the Russian devotees.

Since public programs are generally very debilitating to Srila Gurudeva's frail health, only two external public speaking engagements have been arranged. The public programs included dramatic performances from the Ramayana and the Srimad Bhagavatam. Srila Gurudeva enjoyed these plays immensely, and on both occasions complimented the actors on their professional performance and exciting enactment of Vedic culture and religion.

Srila Gurudeva's health has generally been very good. Every day he takes a leisurely walk around the temple grounds, and enjoys sitting on a chair in the sun on the terrace overlooking the Baltic Sea.

Srila Gurudeva has been well enough to give darshan in the temple room almost every day, in the early mornings and late afternoons. He looks forward these meetings with all the devotees who have come from so far to be with, and to see and hear from him.
