Ekadasi Feast

Dayanidhi Prabhu excels

It is ekadasi today — a day when devotees abstain from eating any kinds of grain or beans. A day without rice and/or bread is always an austere day for me.

Not so today!

Dayanidhi Prabhu (who, believe it or not, is not the regular temple cook) prepares an astounding prasadam feast: cauliflower subji, mashed potatoes, deep-fried eggplant, sweet potato chips (that's right! sliced like fries), lettuce and tomato salad, fried, spiced nuts, and an incredible sago preparation that tastes better than most sweet-rices that I have ever tasted (and that's saying something).
