Livewire Swami

More changes at Ashram

Paramahamsa Maharaj is a livewire! When he is not animatedly regaling you with tales of his most recent preaching engagement he's concocting some delicious new recipe in the kitchen out of some of the most unlikely ingredients (can you say sandwich pakora?) or marching out the gate of the Ashram leading a kirtan party.

Paramahamsa Maharaj also makes a few more changes to the way things are done here at the Sri Chaitanya Saraswat Ashram, adding two more songs to the morning and evening program and initiating the evening tulasi parikrama.

The temple program is getting more and more like the Math. Perhaps a bit too much like the Math: this evening the program lasted almost three hours.

I caution him that many of the guests have to go to work in the morning and that he cannot expect them to be sedentary for so long, not without fidgeting or falling asleep. Even my legs fell asleep — twice!
