It rained last night and all day today. This is unusual weather for West Bengal at this time of the year; the typical monsoon season ends at the beginning of September, but instead of the familiar clear, blue, October skies, the sky is gray and overcast.
Mahananda Prabhu says that they did not get that much rain here in Nabadwip Dham during the regular rainy season and that it has only started raining steadily in the last few weeks.
We were supposed to go to the village of Nasigram today, but the trip has been rained out. Acharya Maharaj communicated with the villagers this morning. They have been preparing a feast and decorating their temple and are eager to have us, but Acharya Maharaj says that the roads will be impassable with all this rain, so we have to take a rain check.
If the rain lets up, we will go to the program tomorrow.
