Saint Petersburg, Russia

Catching Up

Old friend arrives

Yesterday I received news that Srutasrava Prabhu — who has been on a lecture tour of Krasnoyarsk, Novosibirsk, and Tomsk in Siberia for the past two weeks — had returned to Moscow.

This morning, shortly after breakfast, Srutasrava Prabhu and Muralishwar Prabhu (his Russian/English interpreter on the tour) arrive on the overnight train from Moscow.

It is great to see Srutasrava Prabhu again; the last time we were together was during Srila Gurudeva's 20th World Tour when all the devotees from around the world converged here in Saint Petersburg during the festival earlier this year, in August.

It suddenly strikes me that Srutasrava Prabhu is the first non-Russian devotee that I have seen since I came to Russia over two months ago, in the middle of October. I feel like I have been in exile in Siberia. We spend most of the day catching up.
