Subscribe to iMonk via RSS
The iMonk web site publishes an RSS/XML feed with the headline and a short excerpt/description of recent iMonk blogs to allow you to add iMonk blog summaries to personalized news pages like My Yahoo! or online RSS aggregators like BlogLines.
RSS (Really Simple Syndication) is an XML (eXtensible Markup Language) format that web sites use to send you updates via popular online services like My Yahoo! and BlogLines, or desktop applications like Feed Demon (PC) and NetNewsWire (Mac, iPhone, iPad) — see this list for other multi-platform RSS Readers and Aggregators.
If you already have a personalized news page with Yahoo!, Google, AOL, or MSN, or use an online RSS aggregator like BlogLines and NewsGator, simply click on the appropriate icon in the menu on the right to add an iMonk subscription them.
To add iMonk to a personalized news page like My Yahoo:
Click on the +My Yahoo icon in the menu on the right. This will take you to a confirmation page on the My Yahoo! web site with an "Add iMonk to My Yahoo" button. Click on the button to add the iMonk RSS feed. (If you do not have a My Yahoo account or are not already signed in, you will have to create an account or sign in before the iMonk subscription is added to your customized web page.)
Click the "Edit" button to the right of the section name (iMonk) on the My Yahoo! page to move the module up or down, change the number of headlines shown, add a summary of the headlines, or increase the range of the dates displayed.
To add iMonk to an online RSS aggregator like BlogLines:
Click on the +BlogLines icon in the menu on the right. This will take you to a confirmation page on the BlogLines web site where you will be given the opportunity to preview the iMonk RSS feed, customize your display settings, and confirm your subscription. (If you do not have a BlogLines account or are not already signed in, you must click on the link to create a new account or enter your password to log in to your account before the iMonk subscription can be added.)
Click the "iMonk" link in the "My Feeds" tab in the left column to view your subscription. Change your default settings to increase the range of dates displayed on this page, or click "Edit" under the "My Feeds" tab, then click on the "iMonk" link to choose whether to display headlines, summaries, or complete entries.
To manually add iMonk to a web page or RSS reader:
Right-click (PC) or Control-click (Mac) on the orange RSS/XML icon in the menu on the right and copy the link to the clipboard. Paste this link (http://www.imonk.net/rss/imonk.xml) into your RSS reader/aggregator.
This process is slightly different for each aggregator.
