Today is the disappearance day of our param gurudeva, His Divine Grace Srila Bhaktisiddhanta Saraswati Thakur.
At the morning program, Avadhut Maharaj talks a little about the life of Srila Bhaktisiddhanta and we break our fast at midday. It snows all day: a light snow that covers everything in a smooth blanket of white.
In the evening we have a huge public festival at the Drugoy Mir (Another World) public hall as part of the 74th anniversary celebrations of Srila Govinda Maharaj's appearance. The program was advertised through 10,000 full-color flyers and posters:
Over three hundred devotees and guests attend the program that consists of a new Ramayana play by the Madhura Transcendental Theater troupe, three different classical Indian (bharat-natyam) dances, a slide show, a short DVD movie about the Sri Chaitanya Saraswat Math in India and in Russia, and, of course, some tasty prasadam treats.
