Today is Putrada Ekadasi. Chips for breakfast; chips for lunch; chips for supper. I like chips (french fries), but I had chips yesterday, and the day before, Srutasrava Prabhu and I were served chips for lunch and for supper too...
Sripad Avadhut Maharaj flies in to Moscow from Tomsk, Siberia. He is returning from a one-week lecture tour of Siberia. A few days earlier, he was preaching in the far, far east: in Khabarovsk, north-northeast of Vladivostok, near the Chinese border, just above the Sea of Japan.
Avadhut Maharaj is excited about the preaching progress in Siberia, which is under the aegis of his able lieutenant, Naradev Prabhu. At the beginning of last month, Srutasrava Prabhu was warmly received in the same three cities in Siberia: Tomsk, Novosibirsk, and Krasnoyarsk.
Last April, shortly after I took sannyas, Sripad Goswami Maharaj and I came to Russia and toured Siberia for one week. I remember that three different TV stations interviewed Goswami Maharaj on three consecutive days, so we know — Siberia is hot.
