One week after my return to the States, I return to the San Francisco international airport with Srutasrava Prabhu, this time to meet Sripad Siddhanti Maharaj, who returns to California this morning after spending the last three weeks in India.
We arrive a little late (about fifteen minutes after the plane has landed) but we figure Siddhanti Maharaj is still going through Immigration and Customs, so we wait at the arrivals gate. After about five minutes, a young Indian woman comes up to us and says: "If you are here to meet the swamiji, he waited here for a while, then went outside."
We thank her and rush to the outside gate just as Siddhanti Maharaj is coming back into the terminal. We apologize for being late and carry his bags to the car in the parking lot.
It is good to see him again. It is a beautiful sunny day, and on the scenic ride down to the Santa Cruz coast Siddhanti Maharaj updates us on all the latest news from Srila Gurudeva and the other devotees in Nabadwip.
Siddhanti Maharaj will stay here at the Seva Ashram in Soquel for the next few months, and then he will probably go to Russia for the summer. We now have three sannyasis living here at the ashram.
