Srila Saraswati Thakur's mercy

Today is the divine appearance day of Srila Bhaktisiddhanta Saraswati Thakur. Srila Gurudeva comes down to the temple to offer his obeisance and to speak about the illustrious founder of the Gaudiya Math and Mission.

Everybody is happy to see Srila Gurudeva in the temple; while His Divine Grace has been recovering from his recent operation and illness, he has not come down to the temple from his cottage very often, even for some of the bigger feasts like Nityananda Prabhu's appearance day.

Srila Gurudeva looks good, and he speaks strongly about how Srila Saraswati Thakur started his mission alone in Mayapur, and how so many stalwarts like Srila Bhakti Rakshak Sridhar Maharaj and Srila A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupad came under his banner of the Gaudiya Math, and were exhorted to preach in the West.

"Srila A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupad preached Krishna consciousness all over the world, and now we are taking his remnants and going from country to country," Srila Gurudeva says.

"We are all in the group of Saraswati Thakur's divine servitors. All over the world, not just our mission, but so many missions have manifested: all are the divine group of Saraswati Thakur's servants. [Now, Srila Saraswati Thakur's] preaching objective has been achieved: all over the world people are chanting the Hare Krishna maha-mantra...

"It is all the mercy of Srila Bhaktisiddhanta Saraswati Thakur. He started alone in Mayapur, and now thousands of his servants are trying to preach Krishna consciousness by his grace."
