Just a minute!

The young server, dragging the big pot down the row of devotees seated on the floor, stops before me.

"Do you want some of this?" he asks, ladle hovering over the pot.

"What is it?" I counter.

"Potato subji."

"No. What are you serving?"

"Oh." He frowns quizzically. "Prasadam."

"So you're asking me if I want some of the Lord's grace, some of His mercy?" I ask with a wry smile.

He dumps a dollop in my dish and continues down the row...
